Each member of the Schnoll Painting management team is an expert in their field with over 100 years of combined experience:
Rolf G. Tragbar, President
Rolf is a graduate of Temple University with both Bachelor of Arts and Masters degrees in Political Science. He began his career with Schnoll Painting 40 years ago, and has been a partner and president since 1980. Rolf actively supervises the estimating, project management, marketing and administrative activities of the firm. He has served as both president and vice president of the Associated Master Painters and Decorators of Philadelphia (AMPD). He has served on several committees of the General Builders and Contractors Association (GBCA). He is currently the administrator of the AMPD Scholarship Fund.
Craig H. Tragbar, Vice President
Craig began his career with Schnoll Painting 20 years ago. He has been a partner and vice president since 1997. Craig's managerial responsibilities focus on estimating and project management. He has estimated and managed many of our firm's largest projects. He was recently featured in a national trade publication for successfully managing the repainting of the U.S. Mint Facility in Philadelphia. Our firm repainted the 700,000 square foot facility in two weeks. Craig handled the coordination and management of several crews consisting of twenty painters working around the clock. He also has extensive experience with projects having environmental and health related issues.
Michael Thurman, Vice President
Michael began his career with Schnoll Painting 30 years ago. He has been a partner and vice president since 1997. He has over 30 years of extensive field experience comprising all aspects of the painting and specialty coating industry. Michael's managerial responsibilities focus on field operations and labor force maintenance. He also supervises all safety and training efforts of the company. Michael is a certified Occupational Safety and Health Administrator.
Robert A. Granato, CPA, Chief Financial Officer
Robert is a graduate of Philadelphia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. Before joining Schnoll Painting in 1995, he spent almost 10 years at a large regional public accounting firm. He has extensive professional experience in the real estate, construction and mortgage banking industries. He is a certified public accountant and an active member of the American Institute of CPA'S. Robert is primarily responsible for financial accounting and reporting, contract valuation and all major administrative areas.
Mike Sonnie, Vice President of Estimating and Project Management
Mike Sonnie is a graduate of The Williamson School of Mechanical Trades, with a degree in Structural Coatings Technology. He also has a NACE Level 1 Coating and Lining certification. Mike has been been in the construction industry for over 15 years. He specializes in estimating and project management of large scale and complex projects, many of which have received GBCA's excellence awards. He coordinates our bidding schedule and is responsible for estimating and project management of our core people.
Thomas White, General Superintendent
Thomas is a graduate of Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades with a degree in Structural Coatings Technology. He began his career with Schnoll Painting 20 years ago and has extensive field experience in most painting and specialty coating applications. Thomas is responsible for scheduling manpower and supervising the successful completion of projects through site visits and communication with field foremen. He is also a certified Occupational Safety and Health Administrator.
